It’s hard to eat while laughing, but somehow I manage. Nate is telling me story after story of the things he and my brother had done over the years. I know some of them are exaggerated for effect, because I had already heard them, but I don’t care. I love to hear about the crazy things my brother did.

It makes me feel like he lived his life.

“So what about you?” Nate asks, sipping the last of his water.

I push my plate away. “What about me?”

“What kept you on the straight and narrow?”

I make a face, trying not to roll my eyes at his terminology.

He studies me. “What?”

I shrug. “Straight and narrow?”

He grins. “Are you denying it?”

“No.”

His grin widens. “At least I didn’t call you what your brother always did—a good girl.”

“A good girl.” I roll my eyes. “Just the mold I want to break.”

“Is that what I’m about? The guy that you want to corrupt you?”

I lean across the table. “Do you have a problem with that?”

His tongue sneaks out to wet his lips. “As a matter of fact, I don’t.”

I lean back and give him my most seductive stare. “Then we have an exciting summer ahead of us.”

Nate pushes his chair back and tugs me between his legs. “Tell me when you’re ready to start.”

Every fiber in my body ignites.

I look down at him. “I think you know I’ve been ready, but if you’re asking me what I want you to do next, my answer is everything.”

His hands slide under my dress, and in a quick swoop, he stands up and brings me with him. “Good. Let’s start with fucking in my bed.”

My arms and legs wrap around him. “You’re really excited about your bed,” I purr.

He steps in the house from the lanai and laughs. “What, you don’t think it will be exciting?”

“I didn’t say that.”

He nips my lip—hard. “Don’t worry, it will be. In fact, I plan to make every time even more exciting than the last.”

I gasp in delight.

He takes the stairs quickly and our mouths remain fused in wild need for each other.

No one has ever carried me in the heat of passion.

It thrills me.

He’s strong, virile, all man. And I’m so incredibly turned on.

Nate sets me on the floor. “Get undressed.”

He’s already ripping off his clothes and I hurry to catch up.

The room is dark, lit only by the light of the hall, but even in the darkness, I know he’s tracking my every move. I feel like his prey, and I love it.

The minute my dress hits the floor, his arms are around my waist. The next thing I know I’m on the bed on my knees.

Ripples of excitement tear through me.

Chest to chest, we both kneel before each other. Our heavy breathing is the only sound in the room. And this time when our lips collide, there’s nothing gentle about it. Licking and stroking, both in equal amounts of desperation.

I can taste his hunger for me—it’s there in the way
